Banlicken is a unique and remote property, once part of an ancient clachan (farming community) and now standing alone in an outstanding location on the side of a heathery hill on the west coast of Arran and with fabulous views across the Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre. The house successfully combines being in a wild and remote location whilst also being comfortable, contemporary and extremely private. The renovation of the farmhouse and byre has sympathetically turned a Scottish croft into an extraordinary and peaceful haven. As you drive up the farm track to the house with every gate you go through you leave behind the outside world.
A magical and secluded self catering holiday house that sleeps 12 (ideal for 6 adults and 6 children, or up to 9 adults). In the perfect location for families or romantic couples wanting peace, quiet and privacy and with easy access to golf, hillwalking, wildlife and birdwatching with access to the beach below and hills behind.
A home away from home, beautifully decorated combining comfort and contemporary with outstanding sea views. 5 lovely bedrooms all with sea views and 2 bathrooms, a large well equipped kitchen, perfect for the keen cook and the dining area is ideal for relaxed meals and get togethers overlooking the sea. A cosy sitting room with open fire, TV, Sky and DVD. Like many country properties on Arran, Banlicken is on a private water supply, which needs to be checked during your stay.
